AerialAnimals.com is an excellent source for great apparatus, trapeze, lyra, straps, hardware and information.
I work with her for customers purchasing my aerial rigs. Damnhot.com/trapeze -
Ludwig, I was thinking about taping the spansets so they didnt move on a no-tab lyra. Since Im having mine fab’d, I’m thinking the tabs will be the weakest link, safety-wise, and they will make it more expensive. Ive got some quotes coming in. Ill see where they are at.

Do check with aerial animals, they make nice stuff. I got them started making Apperatus when I got too busy.
Some people prefer the tabs and say that the lyra behaves differently.
My suggestion would be to use someone else’s lyra, then turn it so tabs are on bottom, then put on a couple of span-sets and tape them in place and see how you like it before you commit to something.
If you like it, then you have a lyra that can be used with 1, 2 3 or 4 points as needed.
Consider using thin spansets so that they are not too bulky.
Again AerialAnimals.com can help you with that.
Good Luck
