My crossed knee is coming uncrossed and I fall down the pole is this a strength issue or positioning issue? As you can see in my photos I have managed to do it a couple of times but lately this problem is keeping me from getting it every time I want.

Have you checked Veena’s CKR lesson? She’s got such good pointers, I love them! In some of your photos your bent leg’s thigh doesn’t seem to be in contact along the pole. Both thighs should be grabbing it. Your third CKR photo on your profile looks the most secure where you have the pole right next to your knee and both thighs are touching the pole. I personally don’t think a CKR takes a huge amount of strength…getting back up does though! You’ve got a CAR, so you should have enough strength for a CKR, imo. Love your CAR, looks nice! And the happy face with your pole sit. My face is an ouchy face when I pole sit… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Have you tried grabbing the foot of your crossed leg? Pulling on that as I squeezed helped, and it also made me feel a little more secure. Good luck! Good for you for having a strong CAR – that one is still tricky for me. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

In all 3 photos it does not look like you are pointing your toes at all. Aim to point your toes and entire foot toward your right shoulder. You really need a hook in that knee and it looks like you just have a bend (if that makes sense). Think about sitting Indian style with that leg.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! As far as pointing my toes goes my shoes are not pole shoes they are just every day wear shoes and they bend up so it looks like I am not pointing them but I promise I was. I think I have built up such a callous on my inner thighs that I no longer feel any pain LOL I was surprised at how much easier CAR is than CKR I like it much more b/c I feel more secure than with CKR. I wish I could do Veenas lessons but finances do not allow for any extra spending right now, soon I will be able to though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I am going to keep working on the tips suggested and maybe some day soon my CKR will be as strong as my CAR https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
