    Hey guys,

I've been poling for 2 years now and have found myself on a progressively slowing curve of progress in the more advanced moves. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I think most of the problems could be solved if I switched out my chrome xpole for a titanium gold one for a while. I don't have room for two poles and I'd rather not have one sitting in the closet. Has anyone ever tried buying titanium gold extensions and inserting them into a chrome ceiling dome and base plate? I know it will look a little funky but I can live with that if it saves me spending more money. Veena, since you are an xpole vendor, do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Yes I've heard of it and it does look kind of funky, lol!  You could just replace out the A & B poles but the top would be chrome too – if you've got the Xpert or the bottom if you've got the original.

Have you thought about getting a new one and just selling the old one so you don't have a bunch of pole parts laying around?

Thanks Charley! I actually got to play with one for the first time last week while in New Orleans (which is why it took me so long to respond!). It felt different – slightly grippier but cold studio so hard to tell! – and funnily all the gold had come off so the top and bottom actually looked weird NOT being chrome! So, now I know it has been done, I think I may go for it since once it fades it will look ok (presumably).

Hey Dangermouse, I did it with my old Xpole and it worked out fine.  Yes, it was a little multi colored, but in certain lights it wasn't that noticeable. My gold pieces ended up fading anyway and were crome colored in the areas of high use anyway, so it ended up looking kinda candy cane striped, lol.
