Can a pole wedgie be preventable?
Posted by Poleluver on May 6, 2011 at 2:37 pmI've been messing around wth my new flip camera and recording little stuff but I am ALWAYS fixing my shorts! I cannot just wear underwear without shorts and let them stay where they go- big rear. Anyone have any hints? Maybe I just gotta be a master of prentending its not happening. I haven't posted any yet. I got the flip book for dummies on help with editing with movie maker and am working on it- I figure I can work on the wedgie impact too;)

Oooo…I have to tag this post…cause I had the same issue last night while I was wearing my new pole shorts…(they were like XS dance shorts….) Solution?? Or the shorts just not fitting right??

Thx, I'm gonna check it out. I've been wearing loose Old Navy Sweat shorts /draw string and with a big rear it isn't helping matters. They were cheap but for a video ……

You can try sock glue or body glue 🙂 it's kind of annoying for everyday use but I used it for a performance once and it worked great:

While looking for advice on adhesive i found this … itac2 works for keeping clothing in place? Im looking for something to help keep bottoms in place, my ass eats them all:)

For comps I wear a g string under my shorts/undies and just have to ignore them riding up… In practice I’m always picking them out haha

This is actually a fairly common problem not just for pole. Gaffer’s tape (not duct tape) or wig tape works real well. Always keep both in my camera bag.
Gaffer’s tape is very sticky so removing the adhesive needs alcohol, baby oil or wd40 I also carry.
Wig tape you need to make sure the skin is clean then it will stick real good. Use it often for bodybuilder shoots where they have tan spray or posing oils and have to clean the skin before or wig tape won’t stick. -
Thank you for the tips, greatly appreciated. Seems to be a polers secret so to say:)

I wonder if using a starch spray would stiffen them up a bit in the right places… Just thinking out-loud here. 🙂
