  • Can resistance bands be used on pressure mounted poles?

I’m working on deadlifting my shoulder mounts. I got a resistance band & want to use it as seen here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhOUd_y9Hmc) or as a deadlift assist. Is it OK to do this on pressure mounted poles? (I have an xpole xpert.) I know things like pole silks are a no-no on anything that’s not a stage pole or permanent mount because of the pressure & pulling forces involved.

Any thoughts or experience with these?

I literally JUST got a resistance band delivered on Amazon this past Sunday for the same reason: working on handspring deadlifts. I also have an X-Pole that is pressure-mounted and it was absolutely fine. One word of caution, though – don’t overtrain those deadlifts or you could end up with a very messed-up SI joint like I have now 😞.
