  • Carmen Electra Pole Quality?

Posted by JoleneBell on April 12, 2013 at 6:43 pm

I am getting a pro grade pole eventually, but I'm desperate to get one sooner than later. We just can't afford a Lil Mynx right now. I came across a Carmen Electra pole on Craigslist http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/for/3662997761.html. They claim on the Electra site that it is pro grade and inverts can be done on it, etc. Any warnings out there? Would it be worth the $50 the girl wants for it? Can I do ANY basic tricks on it at all (I'm brand spanking new at pole), even just, say, the gallop spin, to build my muscles for now?

You may as well take a shower curtain rod and use it as a pole. Pretty much the same concept and quality. Be patient, young grasshopper! 😉

Don’t waste your money, save it for you’re real one the only thing you can do is put your hands on it while you wiggle around it the tension releases almost Immediately with barely any weight on it…be safe not sorry 🙂

Please do not get this pole! I got a CE AND a peekaboo because when i started poling, “i couldn’t wait” both we’re terrible & safety wise…yikes! I deeply regret ever buying both. Save up for a veena pole or an Xpole, it will be worth it to wait to get a good quality pole that will last you several years.

I agree with everyone. If you're itching to get started you can do flexibility and/or strength training. You can also work on different styles of dance so you'll have nice transitions as well as practice floor work.
