Hi there, I've heard this term on Studioveena but not sure what it is. I think it might be what we call a fan invert, where we use a split grip and invert. If you are holding right hand low and left hand high, you will lift your left ankle onto the pole, with the right leg parallel to the ground.

    Is it the same thing?

No, that is not the same thing.  Karol has 2 tutorials on YT

I can't see these at work so I cannot tell which is which.  What you are describing I think is a half handspring.

I differentiate between Cartwheel and Handspring by which way your head/chest moves….in the handspring you are kind of going backwards, in cartwheel you are going foreward.

Thanks chem, these are a lot more difficult that what we do (and I think we also call these handspring, or something).

What we do is an invert very similar to a standard invert where you would use baseball grip. But instead of basebal grip we use split grip. Your foot still hooks on the pole, your other foot hangs open in a fan.

we use this as a transition for moves like flatline scorpio, etc.

    Thanks for the clarification!
