Chardon shooting and Jasmine Dragons
I am sure that many of you have heard the news about the shooting at Chardon High School yesterday. Unfortunately 2 students have now lost their lives. What some of you do not know is that Mattcrobat owns and runs a studio out there and many of his students go to Chardon High and Middle schools. Reading some of the posts they have made since yesterday has me in a not so good place. Matt and Swift teach pole, acro, juggling, break dancing, silks and lyra and his main clientele are teenage kids. He provides a safe and welcoming home to many in the community and teaches kids skills that go beyond just the arts. I cannot imagine what he, Swift and Denise are going through at the moment. The next days at the studio are going to be trying. It's so sad that parents send their kids off to what should be a safe environment and something like this happens. I have read about Mattcrobat in Pole Spin but did not realize his studio was near where all this took place. Just totally senseless.

His studio is in downtown Chardon…about a mile from the high school.
