  • Chopsticks vs Jade and the Eagle

     Hi everyone!

    Does anyone know how to get a flatter jade or chopsticks, i have an oversplit on both legs but i cant seem to transfer this to pole.. I know for chopsticks its hamstring strength to bring up the back leg but i feel im missing something in the positioning..? For the Jade i have no idea how to get flatter, i think my position is incorrect?
    Also for the Eagle i have the weirdest problem, i can't twist my arm to pull my leg? I can do a standing split with my leg in front of me and i can also do it with a friend holding my leg up behind me but the arm twist just confuses me…
    Any help would me much appreciated, also there's the pics on my profile xx

    Hi.with the jade there is a great tip on areil anus tutorial for jade splits. I cnt do the splits but my jade is ok considering. You dnt want you hips square. ill look for the link to it for you

    I seem to be having all the same problems you too! I can do a flat jade and what helped me with that was to really pull my leg down and think of pulling it across my chest. I also use,my hand on my hip/bum to balance at first which helps, and also to look over the shoulder (on the same side of the leg you are pulling). Hope that helps with jade, now if only I could figure out chopsitcks!

    I’ve never tried chopstick not to sure what it is lol.but hope you crack it. I’m sure my jade will get flat one day haha xxx

    Thanks for all the tips everyone, I’ll practice it all on Sunday and hopefully it goes well !
    Jak, I peeked at your video, and I finally learnt how to grab my foot, (I get stumped on the weirdest things) hopefully I can transfer this to pole!
    I loved the move ever since I saw Felix Cane do it .

    For chopsticks, get your chest low. It’s very hard if your chest is upright. Then just really really extend. At first, mine looked like a 90 degree angle, then I got the pole really in my hip hold and dropped my chest and lifted my legs up towards the ceiling and out away from my body. Now it is more like a flat line.
