Thanks for bringing this up. I am still a beginner but it just makes it clear that exercises are important as well as pacing things x

Hello, I have been developing a pain in my rib area but it feels like it is internal. The closest way to describe it is the cramping feeling you get from running. I have been pole dancing for 3 years and I stretch and warm up before hand and still no luck! I’ve also tried making sure I am breathing because I tend to hold my breath when I helicopter. Maybe I am not breathing correctly. Just want to make sure I do not injure myself. Any insight will help! Thanks!

Hi Princess, if there are certain moves or positions that really tweak it, it’s probably muscular. These things can take a while to heal, especially if you keep aggravating it. However, if it feels like it’s internal, you really should see a doctor ASAP. It may just be your diaphragm muscle cramping, but you should make sure it’s not anything serious.

Thanks for your response genghiscomm9282. I’ll go to the doctor to be sure but I think you are probably right with the diaphragm muscle cramping. It feels like it has to do with my breathing.
