I used alcohol with my other poles, but they aren’t powder coated so I didn’t know if it was safe.

Alcohol is fine. If there seem to be build up, I use windex or a steam cleaner. Honestly though, I don't have to clean it with anything most of the time, I just wipe it off with a clean dry towel. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I just got it n it’s a mixture of really sticky n really slipper. I know that’s a contradiction but that’s how it is. Can use a blow drier?

It's not just heat that is needed, so a blow dryer wont help clean it but it would warm the pole if your room and pole were cold. The steam will remove any greasiness, windexs works well too. If you want to steam the pole you can use an iron set to steam too. Just hold it near the pole (not on) let the steam build for a second, then wipe right away.

Just want to clarify something…. Straight rubbing alcohol will dull and change the finish of the powder coated poles over time. We recommend using Windex or other window cleaners as the amount of alcohol is minimal.

We have tried several things in our studio and Clorox Green Works by far works the best! Plus none of the harsh smells of the other cleaners when you're wiping down a lot of poles at a time.

LM – what about diluting alcohol? or vinegar? What about just plain soap and water?

Not sure about Foxy Kleen. This is the first I have heard of it. I can look into it.

Clorox Green Works sounds like a good alternative to Windex.

Soap and water is always okay. As for diluting, you always run the risk of changing the surface if you don't dilute enough.

If you guys haven’t tried Foxy Kleen it is worth looking into. I’ve been using it in a lot of my XPERT trainings and at pole competitions and it cleans and smells great! I also use it to clean my yoga mats and freshen up my dance bag and body after a good, sweaty workout. Here’s the site http://www.foxykleen.com if you want to check it out.

Wow! Good to know! I have both Windex and Alcohol by my pole and switch off. I will now only use the Windex!
