Well Veeners, the title pretty much speaks for itself. I sent an email last week to a new gentlemen's club opening soon here in Miami and got a reply from the hiring manager this morning. I should be receiving another email in the next two days with all the audition info. Needless to say I'm nervous as all HOLY HELL!!! We al l know how AMAZING we look dancing on the pole in our HEADS, then we get on camera and in my case look like that one guy in the club who SWEARS he's got the moves, but in all actuality looks like he's SEIZING https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif. So my plan is to spend the next two weeks practicing at home and a couple classes a week at my favorite instructors new studio. My last audition at a club was just HORRENDOUS!!! I wanted to hide in one of the lockers and never come out. This time I'm going all in so if it means pole bruises for DAYS, the so be it!!! Wish me luck ladies…

I’ve always wanted to dance in a club for some extra money but I’m too scared of the audition. Good luck

Thanks ladies! I'm hoping to knock some socks off and my instructor Manny is ready to go into boot camp mode lol. If anyone can get where I need to be, its definitely him https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Just be yourself during the audition and focus on the pole maneuvers that make you look good.  Stay calm, focused, and always smiling with flowing movement.  You'll nail it!  Best of luck to you.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Good luck!   Just a word of caution – I've auditioned in (and danced in) many clubs around the US and you should know that you only might be able to do pole tricks in the club.  Even if they have a pole (some clubs don't) it can be extremely slippery.  Many of the girls who dance in clubs wear quite a bit of lotion and no amount of cleaning will get it completely off the pole.  Also, many clubs have poles that are not securely attached or are scarily flexible.  So I would recommend definitely testing the pole out with some really simple moves before doing anything even as complex as a basic invert.  I don't want to discourage you – I just don't want to see you get hurt or plan your entire audition around pole tricks only to find when you get up there that you can't do them.

Thanks for the word of caution Darcit….I'll be sure to test it…maybe even bring a little grip aid (though I might not use that). Hopefully that way my booty moves will be enough lol
