With Ms Xpose and a few other competitions coming up, I want to get my body fully trained. You have no idea how bad I want to win Ms Xpose. This will be my 3rd time entering the preliminaries, I want to make it to the finals!!!

I know some of our gals are currently training, any tips/advice you could give me?

My music is picked out, and I started tinkering with some of the routines. I try to do a mix of gym and pole. I only go to pole class once a week and I dont have a pole at home. The only time I really could get into the studio to play with my stuff is when my oldest doesnt have school or on Sat afternoons. I want to train hard but I dont want this years fiasco with Will and how thinks all I care about is pole, so I need to balance it all out.

It’s tough with the hubby! I think you are doing everything you can, don’t forget visualization – this is a great technique. I stretch out and listen to my music and I am currently working on choreo – this is where I suck majorly!

I have added in cardio and some light weight training but I think you already do that stuff.

One thing Amber told me was pick a song people like or if you pick a lesser known song put everything into it. But you already do those things.

It’s so hard to live and breathe it!

I try to visualize while im at work listening to my music but its hard when your trying to reassign a title and all you can think about is the sequence your putting together. Im going to work more on remembering my routines, I am famous for it and constantly forget what I put in it. I figured the earlier I have the routines the more I can put them into my head mentally.

Im thinking of changing up my routine at the gym. Im gonna do a 10min warm up on the bike, wrist exercises, rotator cuff, inner/outer thighs, 15 min of elepictal (this is where I kick the machines ass), then push ups (30-20-10 reps and doing dips/reverse push up), abs, then stretch. The good thing about gym is during the week its 24hr, so I will normally go when my youngest goes to bed.

Im also thinking of taking a few regular dance classes to incorporate different styles. Im taking a Hip Hop class pretty soon.

I love my music! Its pretty much sums up my range in music diversity. I would like to thank my broadcasting school for teaching me to respect the music! lol. My floor/chair is very cheeky and fun, the song is Holla Till You Pass Out by 3OH!3. Which im thinking having a fun costume – my fish shoes, velcro skirt to remove, maybe some chains since its got a hip hop feel to it. My pole princess really shows off my enthusaism in pole – The Sound of Madness by Shinedown. It was the theme to last years NHL Playoffs – im a huge Washington Capitals fan so I was gonna do something in the scheme. My pole diva is very dramatic and slow. 3 Libras by A Perfect Circle. Im debating doing pointe on this one since its gonna have alot of ballet feel behind it. Im stuck on that costume.

The odd thing is hubby was actually helping me stretch the other night! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif I told him id hire him to help me stretch and ill pay in the things I dont like doing https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ! He might be finally seeing the pole light!!!
