Guys where so you all get your competition outfits? I know I will most likely have to spruce it up myself with sequins etc but I’m finding it hard to find just plain white crop top (sporty one) and also plain white high waisted stretch gym knickers. My routine needs all white clothing. Any tips on where to look girls will be appreciated sooo much!! :))

Ooh are you doing a competition?? Exciting!!

Try http://www.winkdesigns.co.uk/index.html – I couldn’t see anything white at first glance, but they have general dance/sports wear as well as the pole section so you might find something there.

Thanks Kate!! Yeah I’m entering one now on 31st may ahhhhhhhhhh. I’m excited but really nervous too. It’s a new competition here it’s called pole theatre Ireland. Different category’s to enter and I have picked pole drama. Thank you so much I’ll have a look when I get home from work :))

sweet I’m entering pole theatre too 🙂 so far my costume has come from ann summers (on sale – yay), h&m and a fabric shop. I get my clothes from all over but I usually look on general fashion sites like asos, boohoo, figleaves etc. as they have fashion crop tops in. Or if you want a blank canvas look at lingerie and underwear places – my latest pair of shorts are from Primark for example.

I don’t tend to go for pole orientated costume sites because the tops/leotards never fit me (I’m bigger on top), the cuts don’t flatter my body shape and they tend to be a bit more on the pricey side. They do look nice though and saves time if you are running out of ideas.

If you have an idea of what you want your costume to look like it’s quite easy to go on ebay or any local arts shop and buy gem stones, sequins etc. Though saying that I love the exotic stuff on Bad Kitty’s website 😀

sorry forgot to say if you want to go for already made pole clothing there’s Wink that Kate92 has already mentioned, Bad Kitty (US), everythingpoledancing.com, dragonfly yoga wear, mika yoga wear (US), thepoledancingshop.com and sometimes dance websites has some pieces that you can alter for pole 🙂

for additional stuff you can add to your costume – http://www.elwirecraft.co.uk (think Tron), http://face-lace.com and body binds (cheaper alternatives can be found online as well)

I got 2 of my most recent outfits from discountdance.com. They have all sorts of useful clothing for polers. No I’m not affiliated with them lol. I have a seamstress friend who hand makes some of my stuff upon request. Mostly she’s done cosplay stuff for me, but the outfit she’s working on now is made from some super sparkly, shiny material she found for me on the internet. If anyone is interested, I can give you her info in a PM. 🙂

Thank you so much ladies!! I will defo have a look in Belfast maybe on Saturday to see can I find anything if I don’t ins anything on the sites you gave me!! I’m thinking I will have to buy some sort of swimwear an decorate it myself which I love doing anyways! Raven is it pole theatre England you are doing or are you over here? Lol. Awesome, it’s only new here so I can’t wait to see all the category’s and all the talent it just gets better and better every year! And Kate I have picked my music “she’s as cold as ice” but I’m looking for a remix of it though. 🙂
