  Computer dont recognize the camera

  I have a canon vixia HF R10 camera and my computer is windows XP. I am not able to transfer the video from my camera to my computer and thus not able to send any videos. The videos are on a MTS format and to edit a video I need a MPEG format. What can I do ? Thanks.

  I am not sure why you are unable to transfer the videos off of your camera.  Did you have software that came with the camera?

   

  As for formatting…there are all sorts of free programs out there that will convert files for you.  I just google what I need and look at the reviews.
