Considering a 40inch pole
Posted by Sieira on June 8, 2014 at 10:43 pmI’m wondering if any of you use a 40′ pole…I have a 45 but I’m wondering if gripping would be much easier with the 40, anyone? Pros and cons ?

I’m also interested in this, I’m looking to move down from a 45mm to a 40mm. I have smaller hands and find one handed spins nearly impossible on a 45. Maybe that is dramatic though. 😛

I thought about getting one for my studio but I was afraid it might be harder for newbies to hang on to the thing I go a 45 inch since I could only afford one to start with I would be interested in hearing what others though about the 40 before I make my next purchase. I too have smaller hands and do well with a 45 but at the studio I attend for classes they have 8 50’s and one 45 and I can do most things on the 50 now but I still find more stability in a 45. Guess who is always in class early though to get the 45.

A week ago I sold my 45 and bought 40 Crome. My grip is now much solid!i can perform longer-). So happy now-))

I’m waiting for xpole to come out with one that’s not chrome…..but I’m getting one.

I thought xpole did a brass 40mm? I use a 40mm chrome at home (there are pictures on my profile of my hands in comparison to it if that helps) and 38mm brass at the studio. I love skinny poles, and can’t even imagine poling on a thicker pole 🙂

The only 40mm they have available right now is chrome. I’m attempting to be patient but it’s not working 🙂

Ur hands will LOVE the 40. All ur other body parts, maybe not so much. The new chrome finish from xpoleus is pretty great too, so I think you may as well go with that. Their brass 45 is so flimsy & wobbly I can only imagine how much worse the 40 brass will be, in general, nevermind on spin mode. I doubt you’ll be happy, just go with the chrome.

I don’t understand how the finish would make a difference in terms of it being wobbly?
My 40mm is a chrome, and I still love it 🙂 -
Chrome is over steel whereas brass is brass. These two materials have very different properties, the main one being brass is a rather soft material which equals much more give (wobble).

oh like pole flex? I guess that makes sense. my chrome flexes like crazy, (probably because it’s so tall) but you don’t really notice it when you’re on the pole, I think. and then the brass poles we have at the studio are permanently mounted so I guess they don’t flex too much.

Well now I’m just confused. Xpoleus has a 48mm pink silicone pole now?!?!

XPole has been showing this pole at events for almost a year now. I think they are probably updating their website which is probably why you are not seeing some items one day and then seeing others the next.
