Costume help!
I never thought I'd have any trouble finding WHITE Booty/Boy shorts but I am! Of course, I don't want them see through… Does any one have any suggestions?

I have checked Discount Dance and Dancewear Solutions… both of those have reviews of "completely see through" :o(

Just a suggetion if you find a style/fabric you like but it is too transpartent… layer!
If you want more coverage you can wear a short under your short. For a subtle look you can wear a flesh toned base short and layer white over it. Or layering can be used as an intentional part of a costume by using contrasting colors. Often times the under short (or thong in some cases) is used as 'insurance' so lady bits don't escape or if you want more booty cheek coverage (if using short).

I had this exact same problem when I was in a recital in October – I had a hell of a time finding white shorts and I ended up buying a pair from BadKitty to go with their ribbon tie-side "shorts" (which actually have a lot less coverage than my normal bikini underwear – yikes!), but they were too revealing and transparent so I layered them over white boy short underwear. Then that was also too transparent so I layered all of that over white bikini underwear. Not the best look, but it worked for that one night and you couldn't tell from where the audience was sitting. If I had to do it all over again though I would have ordered white pole shorts from Sweet Vixen Couture, but I didn't have enough time to order them by the time I realized that what I had already gotten didn't work. A girl I competed with at Midwest (Dangerous) wore a white sweet vixen romper and she looked gorgeous in it so I'm sure the shorts are cute !

Thank you all so much for the suggestions!! I will keep those in mind! I think I'm going to order the Danskins, and go with the layering suggestion… I also thought of getting 2 sets of more inexpensive shorts, and sewing them together right sides together & leaving a hole to turn them right side out on the inside seam (I used to run a fabric store so I know my way around a sewing machine, thank goodness!). I'll see how these pair turn out first…

If you are going to do white make sure that the fabric is more cotton than nylon or spandex. It is these 2 types of fabrics that make it stretchable, but also see through. You could also go with a real Swim Wear bottom. These would have a separate lining and would provide more coverage.
White is a hard one 🙂
