Hey everyone! I could use a bit of help. I have been working on split grips, cartwheel mount, handspring mount, and several others. But I am having a MASSIVE pole issue. I'm 6' flat foot and with my heels that I always practice in I'm at 6'3". The pole I am working on is only 7' tall. So I have less then 12 inches of breathing room which makes most moves difficult but managable. But I'm stuck on these. I can get the grip just fine from an invert but I really cant do anything from it sense I have like no breathing room. Anyone have any pointers on how to work on these with such a small pole to hight ratio? I keep either A ending up with my lower hand on the bottom of the pole and stressing my wrist that way, or B having my hand a couple inches from the bottom of the pole but then kicking the celing and having to drop into an inverted crusifix before I fall.

Its really starting to feel impossible at this point until I buy another pole (go 10+foot vaulted ceilings) but finances arent letting me for some time still.

Any ideas? I know its not strenght or flexibilty related I just cant fit! 🙁

I'm afraid you just cant fit… I'm 5'9'', practice barefoot and still have to adjust some moves due to lack of vertical space… specially the handpring mount. My advice, if you cant get another pole, try without shoes it may help a little bit 🙂

    happy poling!
