    Does anyone know how to get into the move on the APFA FB page? I love it. If you do know how, any chance you could post a video or describe how to get into it? Thanks!

    To me it looks like you would just go into an inverted crufix, squeeze the pole in an embrace and then let go with your legs and arch.

    And BTW, It looks like this photo was originally of an embrace and they inverted the photo.  Her skirt is too clung to her thigh and also she has a piece of hair that is standing straight up.

    Notice also her earrings.  If she was inverted they would be falling toward the floor.

    Yes! I have been obsessed with that move ever since I saw it. I have a really good elbow/embrace grip and yet when I tried it, it was impossible (ok let me amend that to Impossible… for now!)

    My problems were I couldn't sink into the embrace to get enough grip with my elbows and I couldn't arch my top back enough to push my stomach into the pole to use as extra grip (similar to doing it upright)

    If anyone has any tips do please share 🙂

    My instructor called this 'cuddle grip' haha! You really have to get the pole right in between your boobs and literally cuddle your arms around your body as hard as you can. For prep, you could start by letting one leg off the pole so you're in something like a butterfly with a cuddel grip.Then see how you go with both legs off.

    I am going to reiterrate here…she did NOT do this move in this picture!

     

    This is an inverted photo.  When you are upright and do this move when you pull your legs away from the pole your sotmach is going to naturally go forward, giving you belly grip.  When you are inverted and try this your legs are going to pull your body away from the pole making this extremely unsafe.

    Oh how annoying of them to rotate it like that – it looks like such a cool trick! I have seen the trick done with 1 leg hooked on though so that might be something new to try
