Can anyone expound on his comments about what he would like to see more of on spin / static? My cold-addled brain can’t think that hard right now 🙂

Sparrow, David is a huge fan of spins on the static pole, both from the floor and aerially (yes, it’s possible!). Both techniques seem to be under-utilized and he would like to see that changed!

Thank you for sharing. I love to hear David’s point of view, a great ambassador for our art. Solid advice and questions to think about as our community changes and grows. I still have video from his workshop and refer back to his technique. Plus sign and back to back jade are my favorites. If he comes near your town, book him. He’s so worth the time and money.

One note, we held a small showcase and sold tickets to the public (brownpapertickets.com), a little local TV mention and we sold out 300 seats. We had aerial silks, lyra and pole. There were plenty of older folks in the crowd too, who know very little of our world. We gave a chunk to charity too so, I think the public is open, curious and supportive to aerial arts. Happy Poling peeps.
