Devil's Point Shuffle is a fun move! Just watched your video Rixi, you don't want to move your hands. Once you hook your gemini leg push off with your lower arm and bring your inside leg to the front of the pole, from there squeeze the pole in your knee pit while you let your upper leg slide off and around the pole….as your leg is swinging around then you want to take your lower hand and move it above you top hand. Hope that helps!!

In Althea’s shuffle, you switch hands. In jenynes snaparoo (which she taught during USPDF 2 years ago) you don’t switch– you have to invert at the end with the “wrong” hand on top, which IMO is trickier. Either way, the keys to it are getting your body away from the pole so you have room to swing the bottom leg onto the pole (use your bottom forearm to create space) and then keeping your chest super close to the pole so that you can invert at the end.

Rixi–you'll have it down very soon! I'm glad this thread is happening to have the move broken down as A's vid is so fast its hard to break down…well, for me it is https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

We've been working in this in static to get started. It helps if you push off with the forearm of the lower arm to get more distance between your body and the pole as you unhook your top leg.
Also you can do any variation you like but we end it with an inside leg hook on the opposite side of the pole with the same leg you started with.
I like Alethea's ending with single leg thigh hold to superman…has anyone come up with other alternatives?

I still have to give this one a try, seems like fun!

I’m doing a modified version of this combo for a performance, and I find that using my lower arm forearm to push out rarely gives me the distance I need. Any advice?
