My hair is pretty long and I haven't had this happen to me yet. What kind of pole do you have?

No, but it is one of my biggest worries! Note to self, no more loose hair while poleing!

I have an xpert pole. The part between the base and the pole is a bit thinner … that's where my hair got caught.

aaarrgh i hate this !!! i have really long hair and am so envious of all the girls on here flicking their luscious locks around – i can never pole with my hair down!! it gets in my way if i try do handstands or anything on the floor, wraps around the pole, and worst of all it is sooooo hot, like a neck rug hahaha. id love to do a sexy dance incorporating my hair but i get 5 mins in and am sweating too much to be able to pole haha and the clip goes back in…!! =P

My poles randomly eat my hair as well and it HURTS so I am ALWAYS paranoid when my hair is down and I get to the floor inverted… I hold my head up (breaking my lines) or sweep my hair with my hand before lifting just in case I’m hooked lol
    Love long hair but yikes!!

Ava. Loved it. This is one of my favorite videos ever. 🙂 It’s not really a collection of fails as it is a testament to how hard you’ve worked to be as amazing as you are.

We learn from our failures and they make the successes that much sweeter.
Plus a confident and brave person to show them to the world. It does help me know that the perfection normally shown in Ava’s videos did require some of the same work I am going through.

Ava, your hair in the pole was cracking me up. Thanks for the laugh. And I absolutely love your profile picture–so cool!

Thank you ladies 🙂 you are all too sweet! That video is one of my favorites and I’m so incredibly glad I put it together… you never stop learning in pole, ever, but those beginning steps are such an amazing part of the journey and it all happens soooo quickly. It’s a bit like having kids, that bundle of love begins running around on two feet then the next thing you know they are off living a life of their own and it’s easy to ‘forget’ specific moments and how you got to where you’re standing. I love being able to look back on this video and encourage anyone able, to do the same. That crazy period where you’re teaching your body how to move and what to do, building strength, failing miserably, getting a new move every week, addicted, loving, hating… that beginning roller coaster is a trip 🙂 See, this vid makes me reminisce and hijack posts lol Anyway, though I feel for you ladies with long locks that have gotten tangled it’s good to hear it’s not just me – I’ve talked to many long haired ladies who this simply has never happened to so I figured it was either a ‘curly hair’ issue or my pole was wonky at the base haha! I’m just terrified of being scalped :/
