    Hello fellow polepixies!

I have a dilemma I wanted to share with you all and see what solutions there are…

Here we go… I have been poling for about 2 years and found that I have outgrown the advanced classes.  I have tried different schools and found their advanced classes to be the same (focus on handsprings, shouldermounts, etc etc), my requests/suggestions to learn new moves have been rebuffed largely due to the general level of the class. I've struggled to find instructors who will teach privately and have had a few rough falls (even dislocating bones) when learning by myself (not going there again)…

In these two years for some reason, I've struggled to bond or make friendships with other girls in my classes – no matter how hard I try to make conversation, I don't get a lot back from them. sighhhhhhhhhh

รขโ‚ฌโ€นSo, I'm curious what you ladies do when you feel that you have outgrown your pole schools and they are unable to offer you anymore advancement or opportunity to work on more advanced tricks? I;ve thought about masterclasses but feel a bit afraid to go to them alone. Alot of people tend to have a friend or two to accompany them.

    What to do?

Being no where near the advance stage, and even less closer to being 'beyond the class' I cant give adivce on that, but what i will say is, just bite the bullet and go the masterclass alone. I put off starting pole classes for about a year because i had no one to go with, untill one day I just said sack it im going alone, and since then havent looked back. Iv made some amazing friends, and maybe this masterclass could be good for you ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe its here hat youll get to make new friends, as in your old classes it could be that other girls are jealous and so not trying to make friends with you (petty and childish I know, but hey, thats girls for you lol) Hope you work things out and you manage to find a better class to your needs ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

Hey DiddyBo, thanks for your kind words and well wishes! You are right, sometimes it takes a bit of encouragement to go to masterclasses alone and maybe I could meet someone willing to train with me.  I'm not sure why i'm unable to bond but I'm not unkind or unfriendly type (at least I think I'm not!!) and make a big effort to smile and encourage conversations.

I've spent some time searching and decided to pay more to attend a more expensive school which is twice the amount of what I'm paying and hopefully it should have a few more advanced levels. It's closer to my working place anyway… ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

I’m advanced but nowhere near your level of advanced yet but maybe look into getting privates in your home or at a local studio. Or make a point to travel a few times a year & get to some pole expos or just to get to workshops or visit studios that offer more extremely advanced workshops.
