hi, I was wondering if anyone who doesn't live in America has bought anything from Bad Kitty recently? I'm in Australia and have a few of their pole fit tops and bottoms (which I love) and have always paid $20 flat rate shipping but when I just went to order a princess top it came up with $41.75 shipping which would make the top cost me nearly $80 which I just can't justify. I feel that it can't be right but it keeps giving me the same postage cost, if it is right I think it's ridiculous and disappointing as I won't be able to afford the range anymore and neither will my friends. (Mika Yoga posts here for around $7!)

We have noticed the same thing here in the UK. Someone recently bought some Xotic Eyes and it cost them like £50!

I've noticed this too, I was looking for a iron X in large as none of the UK supplier eg X pole or Poledance Heaven sell it in large but I was totally amazed at the cost of postage.  My Mika yoga shorts arrived in the U,K only 6 days after I placed the order and only cost a few pounds for postage, so I think I'll be looking at their tops in future!

    Ugh!  Shipping!

So here's what's happening.  A couple of months ago the US Post Office raised their postal rates.  For shipping within the US it was just a tiny bit, but for shipping outside the US, it DOUBLED or more than doubled to some places!

I've talked to a few other retailers and it makes us feel really bad when we have say a product that cost $15 and it costs $14 to ship it.  It's outrageous and makes us look bad.

I just shipped a bottle of Dirty Girl POLEtice to Australia a few days ago.  One bottle, with the entire package weighing less than 6 ounces cost $12.75 to ship, not including the packaging cost.  I actually lost money on that one because I hadn't changed the shipping rate for Aus to reflect the new rates.  This is a huge reason why I'm having to change the formula to a powder, to reduce shipping costs for everyone.

Trust me when I say us retailers are just as frustrated!

Yup, USPS raised shipping prices. So did Fedex and UPS. USPS is actually running at a loss and has been for some time due to pricing and other issues; they are planning to eliminate Saturday shipping except for packages shipped at post offices among their measures to counteract this.

I read on Huffpost or somewhere that Congress does not allow them to charge cost on shipping so sometimes they are shipping at a loss (not 100% sure on this since I don't consider them a super reliable source). I sell on eBay so this has affected me a bit but not as much since I only ship within the U.S.
