Does Xpert have to be screwed in?
Hello all! I am hoping someone can help me figure out if it is possible to set my Xpole Xpert up on concrete flooring. My husband is thinking we might need to put down some floor layers or something to secure the pole to the floor? Do you think it is necessary to screw it down if I plan on taking it down and putting it back up every week as recommended? Maybe I can just set it up on the flooring as it is?
And yes, I do plan to use very, very thick crash mats! 😉

**UPDATE** Just called Xpole and the rep said it's pressure mounted so this doesn't matter! Yay! Just curious, has anyone else mounted over concrete flooring?

Setting up on a concrete floor is fine. However, if you are concerned, X-Pole now does a new option base which has a pin in the bottom to stop any movement. Ths product has been developed for high poles, sprung studio floors (which flex) and those with slippery surfaces. It is also being used for competition poles.
All that is required is a small 1/4" (6mm) hole in the floor into which the pin is inserted as the pole is installed. Using thsi method means that no screws are required and the pole can be taken up and down quickly. It is best used together with the PoleAway system.

I used a piece of a old yoga mat under my x-pole base. I have bamboo flooring that is crazy slick. I cut it about an inch more than I needed all the way around and tightened it a little more over the course of three or four days as the mat settled. Now when I take my pole down to adjust and clean the floors, I can just put it back up.The mat now has a dent where the base sits and it acts as a guide.
