    Hello Ladies,
My first time writing a discussion here. I just have found this website few days ago, and I’m glad I did! So many tips to get from. =) Just wish I had found this sooner then I could’ve discussed whole a lot more before my new purchase…

So I’m a very new beginner, wanted a pole SO bad, and I finally did! Although I wanted ceiling to floor connecting pole, because I live at my parents’ place and they’re not happy with any possible damages, I had to invest an extra money and bought the PS Star Stand Alone.

I installed it last night and tried it, it’s okay. Can’t say much about it since I’m not an expert. The pole wobbles a lot more than I thought. (maybe because I have carpet)

Here’s my main issue. The picture I have added is the connection part of pole. The extension part. There are 2 bolts like sticking out, and I just have scraped my wrist as I was sppining down this morning. Part of my skin came off and some screaming and bleeding happened lol. I felt so dumb … Now I have bandage-like tape covering those two bolts, but still sticking out, and not very pleasent looking/feeling.

If you know what I’m talking about, anyone, would you please have any tips for this? I would like to know how you ladies manage this better when you’re dancing. Help out this poor innocent beginner. Pretty please? =)

Stage poles are generally wobbly. That’s just physics…

I’m sorry you’re having issues with the screws. They recently redesigned their poles so there is not much feedback the screw together joints yet. Sometimes the things these pole companies come up with take an engineering degree to figure out!

I know this might be a dumb question, but you have tightened the screws all the way and you’re sure they are in proper alignment?

The screws on my x-pole stuck out like that when I didn’t have the pole aligned quite right. I bet they are supposed to be flush when assembled. You might check how the pieces are fitting together.

Thanks for your concerns and opinions ladies. Unlike X-pole stage lite, Star SA didn’t need any screw work. Think it was called easy connect or something. It’s actually pretty scary because the top part of extension will just come off with no effort. Yikes. I guess X stage lite is harder to set up but more secured. I might calle the company to see what’s up with these little two bolts. Thanks again. I’ll keep checking tomorrow, please feel free to throw me if you have any opinions or feedback on your PS Star stand alone. =)

I have the EZ connect model… And my main problem with it is the joints. Also, I thought the new quick connect did require you to screw in those bolts. I could be wrong though.

I wrote a review of mine here:

You need to scroll almost to the end. I’m starting to wish I just made my own thread, it’s kind if hard to find this way 🙂 oh well.

Anyway, I’d call them. They are super helpful.
