My pole instructor has me working on a new move….the dutchess! I never heard of that on here, I only know Veena’s terms. Well it looks like the half Jade on here. The inside leg placement is different though. For the inside leg, I’m putting the bottom of my foot on the pole but everything else looks the same. Is there just different variations of the same move? Is there just a list of the different moves as well as all the different names it’s called too? She calls the carasouel the georgeous. And calls one move the dislocator. I just want to know all the terms so I know what she’s referring to. I’m very excited, because she knows I wanted to learn the Jade and she is slowly piecing moves together to get me there! I feel very blessed with such a great instructor. Veena’s said look for someone who has you stretch and warm up first…. She does, then we pole and stretch again at the end. My flexibility was crap at first and I’m actually seeing some progress already. I just feel stupid with all the terms I didn’t know, but she seems to know what they are all called. Does anyone have a list with pictures of the terms?

In Veena’s Gallery she usually has AKA names…

but also check out Pole Dance Dictionary. They have this ask the duchess: [poledancedictionary.com]
They have the AKA names as: Hip Hold Stag (PFA), Medio Jade and Half Jade

Now, the foot is not on the pole as you described… so my guess is that is a variation.

According to that site the Dislocator is a Reverse Grab Spin.

Yep you can always check the gallery because Aja’s are listed. If you do a search on the site as well the gallery photo or lesson will show up even if you use an aka name!
