  • EG aysha and shoulder strength issues?

I used to be able to do an EG aysha pretty consistently with no aches/pains (there's a video of a slightly shakey one on my profile here), but I stopped practicing them a couple of months ago. I've just gone back to practicing them again and now I find that my shoulder on the lower arm doesn't seem to want to stay engaged/hold my weight the way it did before. When I'm in position and try to release my legs slowly it just jolts my shoulder and I crumble. There's no pain but it feels unstable now whereas it never used to, and I've always had oddly flexible shoulders but it's never been an issue with any pole moves before.

I thought I had increased my strength in the past few months so I'm a bit confused as to what the problem could be? What exercises should I be doing to help build up strength? I've got Veena's lessons but just wondered if there was anything specific I could try?

Also, weirdly, I handspring/cartwheel with my right arm on top and I EG aysha with my right arm on the bottom lol. I've tried to use my right elbow and left arm down but I can't balance properly 🙁
