Okay every time I try this move I end up falling on my face! I don’t know if it’s the grip that’s giving me trouble or what…but I also am uncomfortable when I let the other leg off the pole because I’m used to only doing moves similar to the bow and arrow where the other leg is going in the opposite direction of the leg on the pole so the tension helps keep you up. I’m not even sure where to start in explaining the issues I’m having with this so if anyone could break it down for me about how to get into it and even some exercises to get myself used to the pose that would be wonderful!

As a prep for it, try doing a normal butterfly, but then straighten your leg so that the side of your knee is still against the pole but the rest of the leg is away from the pole. That’s a good one to practice balance.

Can you try to post a vid as we’ll be able to see a bit better what you need to do to perfect it?
