I’ve seen so many people dance in them. How do you do that? Lol

Don't leg warmers make you slip? I thought as much skin as possible needed to be showing so that u can stick to pole. They look good tho!

    gail:

if the leg warmers cover a contact point, a person could slide down or slip.  however, that does not stop some people from pole dancing.

sometimes, really advanced polers can pole in pants with all of the legs covered.

and other times, you can just isolate different muscles to adjust for the areas that are slippy- for example, if someone is climbing the pole and is wearing socks or leg warmers, instead of relying on the foot and lower leg area, that person would focus more on gripping by the knees and thighs. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Yep! I love to dance in leg warmers and most of my shirts don’t expose my middle so I’ve learned to do tricks without the skin contact :-). When I’m really bare in a two piece – I think about how amazing it is that I stick to the pole so well lol!

Sockdreams has a bunch of cute sock garters that are cheap that can be used to help leg warmers not slide down so much https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    ! omg sock garters?

    how cute!

i weaved some elastic thru the knit of some leg warmers with a crochet hook to keep some loose leg warmers up– and tied a bow with the excess length.  totally worked and they are adjustable!

Ok, a request for all of you who own a pair of very long legwarmers, like mid thigh high. Would you mind telling us the measurements of your legs, or maybe posting a pic with you wearing them? I've been debating whether to buy some online, but I'm concerned that maybe these leg warmers are more designed for ballerinas with more slender legs and they would be too tight on me. I would like some that stay up, are slightly stretchy material, and fit my thighs without feeling constricted. I have searched a ton of sites but none of them ever mention the diameter size of these leg warmers, only the length. And I know that one size does not fit all!

JB, I can tell you that the ones that I bought are not tight in any way. My thigh is about 19 inches in circumference where they sit.  They may stretch a smidgen more than that, but probably not by much.  The ones I have are very much like the discount dance ones  but in black.  They do not come up to my crotch but only about mid thigh.  Maybe if I was shorter they would.  Part of that 36" is the part that slips over your foot.

I did a review on mine with pictures and measurements: http://flexines.blogspot.com/2013/07/review-extra-long-legwarmers-by-mondor.html Last time I checked they still have them on Capezio Dance Shop but they are also available on Amazon and sometimes eBay (yep, I stalk leg warmers in case I get extra money lol). The one's Chem posted are on my wishlist especially if I can find them without stirrups. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have the same ones as AdAstra reviewed. They definitely come in handy when I’m doing floorwork since they are super long. I had no problems with them falling down, nor cutting off circulation from being too tight. I got them at a local dance store.
