FB vs pole torn
Hey ladies…
I as now have all of my pole pics and stuff on my personal facebook. I don’t care if anyone sees them but I was thinking that maybe I will just setup a different account for just pole. I will be adding more videos as well.
Im not sure what to do. Do you have separate accounts? Is it easier and less of a hassle to see the things you want?

Yup, I have 2! I have the real me – which does include local polers and polers I do bidness with…but I want the real me to have a space to not get inundated with things – I can get back to people right away about things. It’s just a space for people I actually know in real life with and make real plans with to be able to get in touch with me.

I have my personal FB and then I have a Team Lulu fanpage. I personally dont have a problem mixing the two, b/c I think Id get confused between both pages. Granted I have to check fb a few hours b/c it would take me forever to check facebook.

that’s a pretty good Idea! I might try that. Although I keep all of my pole pics on my fb and I select only certain people who can see them, although that can get kind of annoying after a while.

At first I had them all on one FB account. Then a friend of mine who doesn’t understand commented on a photo and I then created another FB account. Life is much better. I don’t get critized.

my FB account was created to stay in touch with my fellow polers. There are a few family members and a few other friends on it but it is 90+% polers. My family was told from the get go that my page was for my poling and my poling friends and if anything critical was said to them or about them or about me poling I could delete them as fast as I added them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif and that includes my own mother lol!

i’ve thought about getting a separate fb page for poling too because i dont want certain people in my family and friends circle to know about my poling hobby. But i never moved forward on creating the second fb profile because I figured that i can keep in touch with my poling acquaintances here on studio veena…
but then i thought, "hey! there is NOTHING wrong with my poling hobby! My family and friends should be ok with it." and i was set on just having one fb profile…

There was a forum post up about a girl getting kicked off FB cuz of her pole pics, that freaked me out! I don’t really have pole pics of me on FB because I have my son’s friend’s parents and co workers on FB and I know know that some people don’t understand it. I tell people that StudioVeena is like FB but for polers and this is where I express my pole fun and meet other polers! So if you wanna put up pole pics and vids, I’d make a second account just to save your self from the same old "I’m not a stripper, I do it for fun/exercise, stop offering me twenties"

I wouldn’t be able to maintain 2 facebooks, I have only one and my pole stuff is on there, I have NO coworkers on my facebook tho, even if I had a separate personal account I wouldn’t have them on there, to me, work is work and I dont really need these people all up in my business. LOL, but I have some family members on my fb, they know I pole for fitness and if they dont like it then they are free to delete me, my mother recently deleted me from facebook. hahahahaha, yes, she did. oh well.

I think that everyone I know knows that I pole dance. I was so excited when I started that I told everybody about it, people at work, my friends and family. And its no secret at allt. To me its no different then any other sport or dance. Most people are just supportive and happy for me for doing what I love. I dont see anything wrong with poledancing so if anyone else thinks that there is something wrong with it and that im doing it, then its just really not my problem. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -

Maybe theyre just trying to annoy you? My boyfriend and few other people used to say stripper practice. I just got tired of saying no its pole fitness/dance not strip. He would say things like,, Are you going to a stripper practise? I just got used to it and said yes and stopped correcting it. Ok good point. A funy thing happened the other day when my pole arrived at my house….
I was supposed to be on a play date with my daughter and neighbor. Well because i was putting up my pole I was sooooo beyond late. I told my husband to go over there and take my daughter with him so they don’t wonder where we were. He went to the neighbor’s house and for some reason they wanted to come over my house. Well low and behold when the neighbor came into our house ( my pole is in my living room smack in front of the television) His eyes popped out! He was like " are you a tripper?" I was like no silly I’m a stay at home mom silly. He said "I don’t judge this is your house" but he looked ashamed. Then his daughter asked him "daddy what is that" and he said " oh that’s her stripper pole honey" I laughed my a$$ of and was like, "um no honey it’s a dance fittness pole kinda like the fire man has" C’mon guy she’s 3!!! -
I have a personal facebook page and a House of Pole page and that’s more than enough for me LOL.
I think since I’m in the business of pole it’s so closely linked to my personal life that I kind of need the two to be intertwined. I’ve gotten lots of leads and sales from family and friends who know somebody that knows somebody that wants to know about pole and they all know I do it so they send them my way. Plus my personal page has become 90% polers too anyway so….my real life family and friends just gotta squeeze in there when they can LOL.
Plus I like sharing what I do with my family and friends. I too have my pole pics set up so that not everyone can see them. I’m not ashamed of what I do but my Dad and Grandpa aren’t really interested in seeing me on a pole in 6 inch heels so I spare them that visual. LOL
