Pretty sure their is a thread already but I’m too lazy to search. I’m new to fb and I want to share a video with friends and family. First time it went thru and when I clicked post it said it couldn’t post because the video wasn’t properly encoded and wasn’t available to see. So I tried a few more times and it would get maybe half way thru the upload process and it took forever to get their. I’ve read on here people’s videos were removed by fb. Was that before or after it was posted? Just curious if that’s happened to anyone else… And it’s just a normal practice video.. One I’ve uploaded to here…

About a month back, I loaded a video to Facebook. It gave me a message with the opportunity to state that the video was owned by me and accepted terms and conditions. Then it was fine. However, I was "Timelined" a couple of weeks ago. I tried to load a video today and it told me that it was removed by Facebook. I sent a message to their "help desk". This was a few hours ago and I haven't heard anything. I'll let you know if I do.

Thats what I did I accepted the terms then it said it couldn’t be played because it wasn’t encoded right. Idk? Thought maybe it was them. But I have seen a few pages with pole videos on them. Their isnt anything wrong with the video. I edited it with movie maker and it’s been uploaded here on sv… Maybe gna try again tomorrow on chrome or firefox

hey SC, it's much easier to upload your video to youtube, and then share it on fb.  once you have it up on youtube, there is a fb "share" button that will put it right on your page.  it is faster and the quality is better too.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_ugeek.gif

Do you have to have a You Tube Account to do this? I hesitate to add these types of videos out there. I am comfortable with this site, as I feel it is more protected. On Facebook, I can choose who I share it with. Also, I am not technically saavy, but I believe you need to "allow" the application of You Tube on Facebook for this to work. My security settings does not allow applications or platforms. I really do think it is some kind of encryption problem since I was able to do it before, but what do I know? It's very frustrating. I still haven't received a confirmation of my issue from FB. I shall refrain from  cursing…. O:)

You probably will not get a response. They are not allowing videos with most music on FB now due to the new copy right laws. I have been having the same issue on YT actually. I opened up a Vimeo account.

yes, i think you need a youtube account.  but you can upload your videos as "private" or "unlisted".  if they are unlisted, only people with the link can view them.  so only your fb friends would be able to see them..  i don't think you have to do anything on your fb, mine worked automatically when i used the fb "share" button on my youtube video. i would say try again, and if it doesn't work, go into your fb account settings.  good luck!

as long as the music you use is available on youtube, they will not penalize your account for using it, and they will let you keep it.   (at least that has been my experience so far).
