If you learn how to work the system then it is really not all that bad.  It just depends really on how you use facebook.  I ahve lists created for close friends, pole buddies, family, and businesses.

not bothering me much after the first hour or so of figuring it out. I also figure it is a free service so who am i to complain what they are doing with it, if I paid for membership that might be different. like one paid forum that i was a member of that now you have to get new threads approved before they are posted….

there is more change coming…… Chris watched alive broadcast, of Mark Zuckerbrg explaining things they have planned. Its going to get a lot more complicated!! I have thought most of the changes that have upset others in the past were fine…. free or not I still have the right to be annoyed. LOL

I'm vexed by the "news feed" thing not being something you can control the privacy of.  I don't think I'll be using it any more.  I know it probably sounds silly, but I don't want every single "friend" of mine to be shown what I've commented on someone else's pages.

I have exes and "complications" that I don't want to have seeing more than I want them to see.  Sure, they could just not follow my feed, but that's not within my control.

It's free, they have no need to pander to me, so I'm not going to make a fuss.  I've just been forced off of it by my own paranoid need for privacy, lol.

I am NOT loving the new changes…and I get that it's free so they can do whatever – but the interface keeps getting more annoying and I am all confused LOL…it's making me feel old https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I will just spend less time on it…which is probably a good thing anyhow

My main reason for the post was to let everyone know I'll be on Twitter more. I don't want to have to rely on FB to keep everyone up to date. http://twitter.com/#!/StudioVeena

haha Miraine is ok, I get why you would be upset! For me, the issue was, the time I have to take to change settings. I don't stay on FB 24/7 and I don't like to spend my computer time changing settings, I'm not computer savvy despite what everyone might assume! Even with instruction I still get confuse!….. Twitter it is!

I don't mind the change.  I'm actually kind of interested to figure out what all the new Facebook can do!

Facebook is constantly changing, so I've learned to expect it.  They kind of have to change from time to time in order to stay relevant, especially with Google+ being released.  Otherwise they might become the next Myspace!  LOL

Miraine…that was already shown prior to this new change.  It was just in with the rest of the stuff, so you saw that so and so commented and then you would get a status update and then maybe a game thingy then so and so are now friends.  All it did was separate that little background "noise" from the actual news feed and put it as a ticker on a side screen.

Veena, thanks for the Twitter move.  I too find the new layout of Facebook too complicated using my computer.  Using my iPod or Android phone, it hadn't been to bad.  #followingStudioVeena https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
