I bought this pole “Showgirl Dance Pole Portable Kit Made By X-pole 45mm Xpole” from Amazon sold by Pro Therapy Supplies, is it a real x-pole?

The Tech Team do not believe this is an X-Pole product as that description has never been used by X-Pole.

X-Pole never uses the word Kit, we use Set and the only set we did which bore any resemblance to this description was the Kendra Pole which was a special version with a Kendra color box that we did at least 3 years ago but have not done since.

Please send or post photos of the box, pole (especially Upper Dome top and bottom) and the instructions. We will be able to tell you if it is fake immediately.

If it is a fake/copy X-Pole please contact your local X-Pole office who will discuss ways we can support you.

    Note:
X-Pole takes its product IP/Design rights, Trade Marks and Patents extremely seriously. If anyone is in doubt about a pole product which claims to be X-Pole we really appreciate being informed and will do everything we can to support you.

Most fakes are dangerous (there have already been serious injuries) and the X-Pole name is being called into question by the problems caused by these fake poles.

X-Pole is taking aggressive legal action against any fake manufacturer, importer or re-seller who has copied in anyway the X-Pole product.

I found this on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Showgirl-Dance-Portable-X-pole-Xpole/dp/B0037BVULC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407462489&sr=8-1&keywords=showgirl+dance+pole

It certainly looks like the Kendra pole. This is the description:The 45mm Showgirl Chrome Sport Pole replaces the Kendra Sport Pole. The contract X-Pole had with Kendra Wilkinson expired but this is the same pole without Kendra’s name on it. This bottom loading dance pole is easy to install. No ladder needed to install or remove this portable dance pole. The Showgirl Sport Version Does NOT Spin but allows for advanced spin moves with ease. The X-Pole Sport is a stationary, bottom-loading pole featuring the revolutionary X-Joint. With the X-Pole Sport’s unique adjuster system, you can expand and fully lock the pole in position without ever leaving the ground. The X-Pole Showgirl contains all the parts needed for ceiling heights of 7ft 4in to 9ft. It is offered in 50mm (2in) diameter and in the Chrome finish. Base Plate – 9in diameter Main Pole A (bottom pole) with attached height adjuster rod and locking nut Foam adjuster rod cover – Covers threads so you won’t scrape arms or legs Main Pole B (top pole) – Only the Main Pole A and Main Pole B are needed for ceiling heights of 7ft 4in – 7ft 9in 125mm (5in) extension – Attach this extension for ceiling heights 7ft 9in – 8ft 2in 250mm (10in) extension – Attach this extension for ceiling heights of 8ft 2in – 8ft 7in Combine both the 125mm with the 250mm for ceiling heights of 8ft 6in – 9ft 1x 180mm (7in) X-Joint – Comes attached to the125mm extension and used with the smallest extensions that are closest to the ceiling 2x 200mm (8in) X-Joints – Used to connect all larger pole pieces Upper Support Plate.

Would a fake x-pole have the x-pole bag, instructions or x-pole on the pole itself?

Yes! There are a few here that have gotten bags with the XPole logo, it is SUPER easy to copy instructions and the X on the pole is engraved and has been showing up on some of the fake poles. The dome and the serial number are the easiest ways to know, that and XJoints. Many of the fake poles are threaded similar to the very first X’s that came out.

Found it for $199 at http://microfiberproducts.com/45shxpospxpo.html
Sounds very suspicious to me. If you google it, there are loads of pages listing it but they are all free webpages (blogspot, wordpress.com, etc.) which is usually an indicatiuon of a scam.

My X-pole came from the microfiber website. It looks real comparing it to the pictures x-pole tech posed. I will make sure tomorrow.

Microfiber products is listed on the xpole website as an authorized online store. Would an authorized store chance being caught selling fake product?

    Ladies. X-Pole Tech Sincerely Apologises.

The examples shown on the links supplied by Chem and others that have the Kendra boxing are genuine X-Poles.

In addition, on checking with the US office, both Microfibre and Pro Therapy Supplies are accounts of X-Pole USA and so the products described are genuine.

Had we seen the boxing or initially had a link and not been working off the description given on Veena, with the word ‘Kit’, which we have never used, it would have been easier.

However, thank you everyone for raising the Fake issue and please do not hesitate to contact us if you think you have a fake.

Please though, when doing so, provide us with as much information as possible about the potential fake so we can make an accurate evaluation.

    Thanks

    X-Pole Tech

You are trusting your body to the pole. Any money you would save by not buying from the source directly seems like you are asking for trouble. Take the time to save the money and get what you know is a true x pole. I saved for months to be able to purchase mine from X Pole’s website. Hurting myself and not being able to fully trust the pole was not worth the money i would save.
