Favorite Slinky Slithery Moves Needed
Hi Pole Friends! I don’t often post on here, I’ve been more of a voyeur to this point, but I am in need of some inspiration and input. I’ve been commissioned by a quirky art house to do a dance for their themed gallery opening. The theme is Godzilla.
Still with me? LOL – this is not a joke, the whole gallery and all performances will be Godzilla themed. I’m very excited! I’ve been debating how to approach the theme and I think keeping the reptile that Godzilla is in mind will help inspire the dance moves. As an intermediate dancer, I could use some ideas on moves that are slinky, slithery, sexy etc. What is your favorite move in that genre? Pole or floorwork – I plan to rely on both! I will likely only be using static as I’m not that confident yet in spin.
So what moves remind you of a reptile? Or a giant monster attacking a city?
Also, if you happen to have ideas on how to crush a model of a city without hurting your feet, I’ll take those too haha. ïŠ
