With the one piece, you still have an adjuster rod, it just won't need to be extended very much.

theoretically you can also take the adjuster sleeve off and keep the pole bottom loading. It would just have a little bit of the adjuster rod showing like the x pole sport does.

Hm. I'd like to avoid anything one-piece if i can because i'm at a point in my life where I'm moving around enough that it would be too inconvenient – I need the flexibility. does the cover ever get in the way when it's on the top? would that be recommended, and how much more difficult would it be to set up (would i be able to set it up myself)?

Also, does anyone have experience with a PS pole breaking, and how did the company handle it?  They say they only cover damage from a factory issue if it is under warranty so have you had to pay for replacement parts ever?  When my X-pole broke they sent me a new height adjuster for free (i didn't even pay shipping) and it wasn't even under warranty, but I don't think they would advertize that they do that – it took me by pleasant surprise 🙂

I have a 50mm x-pole that I had powder coated, it's alright but wish I had bought a small size pole. Where I'm getting my classes at, they're using 38's and I really suck right now at climbing it. But could wrap myself around it in a pole sit…go figure! So I had already been wanting a smaller sized pole but can't decide on brand and finish. Will brass rip my skin off? I am kinda wanting something that won't keep chunks with it, if I go sliding down etc. Been eyeing the TG 45mm x-pole pieces……hrmmmm? questions, questions https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

Holly – When you make the pole top loading, you remove the sleeve completely. I have pics of my PS pole on here. Keep in mind, the pole is a 1 piece, so the top adapter is different than a multi, that's why you need the special adapter for a multi. The pole is pretty easy to set up. You just need a ladder. You just extend the adjuster rod to the ceiling, level the pole, then screw down 2 big nuts to be flush with the pole.
