I just bought a new 45mm powder coated pole and I am slipping on it just as bad as I was on my chrome pole. I bought powder coated because I thought I’d have better grip but now I’m just super irriated. Is there a trick to sticking to the pole? I can’t even do a controlled spin because of slippage.

What brand is it? Do you have dry skin is it cold where you pole and have you warmed up before trying it?

The only time I had issue with PC is in the cold when I forgot to moisturize or I couldn’t phyically get warm enough. This grip aid mix is amazing and I bet it will fix it!!! https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/52ab9aba-a310-41ab-83d6-636d0a9aa0eb

Are there specific lotions that are good for PC poles?

I like https://www.lubriderm.com/products/advanced-therapy-lotion but I’m cheap and by the store brand from target! Anything that isn’t greasy will work, just applie the night before or several hours before poling

Glycerin and water in a spray bottle works wonders on dry skin – just make sure you don’t get it on your hands! You can usually buy glycerin at the pharmacy in the first aid section. Otherwise, you can buy lotions that have glycerin near the top of the ingredient list – I like the aloe Vaseline one. Shaving cream also works well for leg grip for the same reason. I was really frustrated until I started using these concoctions because I would literally slide right off the pole – and I knew it wasn’t a strength issue! Now I can literally spray on and stick!

Awesome thank you guys. One more question. What if I usually pole in the afternoon? Can I lotion up in the morning?

I like to pole with this lotion on…

I use it like a grip aid. Mixed results on hands, but it’s awesome for body. 🙂
