OOooo I did like that! Hmmm… let me think about this…

Felix’s video was impressive because of her flexibility and the speed of the series of moves at the 2 minute mark, my favorite spot. She also seems to have a strength advantage (however, the muscles on her are to the point where I don’t think they’re attractive anymore… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif ). She due to her flexibility she pulled off some moves that I’ve personally never seen; the ones on the spinning pole. She also has great timing with the music; notice her jade dismount went perfectly with the music and that she knew exactly how far off the floor she would be after all those moves going down the pole (however the audio was obviously edited… all the cheering wasn’t in it).

Cons: Those fast moves were all Geminis, Scorpios, and inverted thigh holds (maybe a butterfly, I don’t remember at the moment). Those are all moves I can do and I’m a beginner! She also didn’t have a very varied routine – she was on the pole 95% of the time: pretty much all inverts. No spins, a dash of floorwork, but that was pretty much it.

Jenyne’s was rather opposite. She had a wider range of moves that she performed – spins, inverts, etc. She also included props (umbrella and rain coat) which always adds interest. I love that she did the inverted body wave!!! I have to go back to the variety thing: she did moves that are kinda considered the staple moves but at the same time added the shocker ones in there.

And it’s hard for me to add many more positive things because the video was edited!!! Which brings me to cons: her more impressive moves weren’t as impressive as Felix’s (but still impressive!) Not as many shock-factor moves in there. Included more standard moves.

But overall I can’t pick a favorite… Felix’s had more impressive moves but I wasn’t too fond of the routine overall. Jenyne’s was more of a routine (I think… darn edited-ness!) and had more variety but didn’t have as impressive moves. Not to mention Jenyne’s was easier on the ears… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I dunno, foxy-rei! the reason why felix’s leg hangs are so impressive is because she does them so much differently than anyone else. I mean, I may be able to do a gemini scorpio switch. But can I floppy ragdoll any hang and make my strangely alien curved limbs transform them into 3000 other tricks. I mean, she transitions from the weirdest stuff into the weirdest stuff.

Jenyne was better to me be because it was so JUICY THEATRICAL. Each separate move had serious impact. And I do think that slow flag, jade drop, and that neat reverse shoulder mount were just as extreme as dropping a strangely alien curved limb into a spatchcock.

BUT. I love how Felix moves around the pole, like her home planet puts their children on the pole from day one.

    ANYWAYS.
    HOT.
I liked the Felix encore better. Even though the music still sucked, it was at least pop suck and not bad rock suck.
