sweetheart, i checked the greyhound lines and the bus fare is exactly the same price and takes twice as long. also, it will cost you $3 more to go all the way to dc rather than Fred. Either way as the schedule reads, it will put you in Fred. at 12pm and I will be late for work and I can’t call out but I will be done and in DC by 3.
All you gotta do is get to DC, the rest is a no brainer. Any information either myself or anyone else can give is the same information you can access yourself so keep searching i guess. I may have missed something. but it’s $97 roundtrip from Norfolk to DC and back to Norfolk. That is actually a great deal. grab a bus, transfer to a train and you are in DC at 1:30 pm. same thing to get home.
Once you get to DC, I will be happy to get you where you need to go. I plan on staying in DC/MD through Sunday.
The cheapest and most sensible way to get there is what i told you before and have re-iterated here. This seems to be your best and only option. Short of that, I don’t know what to tell you girlie. Sorry, but there is no way I can drive down to Norfolk to come get you.

have you and Roxy figured out the sightseeing plan yet? I can’t get to DC until 3:30 or so but I would love meet up with you all. I can’t make it a late night b/c i have to work for a bit early Sat morning so it would be nice to catch up with both of you since I will be in the area anyway when I get off work.

I was hoping to be able to go down to MD and back on saturday because im supposed to be with my sister in law… 100 more dollars is out of the question so everything points down to the fact I might not be going after all… I can only be there on saturday not from friday to sunday

sweetie you can go back to dc and get back to norfolk anytime you want. there are plenty of us going to DC after the jam, you just have to see what the schedule looks like for your return to Norfolk on the amtrak website for Sat. night. But if it really is money matters, that sux. I am sorry to hear that. Money is extremely tight for a lot of us right now.

Sorry Amber! It was a very hectic weekend and this is the first time I’ve even been on-line since thurs/friday! LOL! Dave and I are still going to DC on Friday but we probably won’t be there until 1pm. He is working a half day around the city and I’m going to take advantage of sleeping past 5:30 am https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif …probably work out a bit and then maybe do a little shopping before he is ready to head that way! I would definitly love to meet up with you or anyone else who is going to be doing some sightseeing Friday!
