Shortly after starting pole dancing I saw someone doing a knee hold and wanted to do that trick. I was often thinking I would never get it, and had so much pain I wondered how this can be possible at all. But after trying for one and a half year once in a while (I have to admit, not even once a week) on Friday I finally got it, up the pole, on spinning and it didn’t even really hurt. Saturday and yesterday it was still there, so I guess it’s official! Yay!! So happy!!!

So, does anyone have any ideas of cool combos including kneehold?

    Congratulations on your knee holdd!!!
I never really cared much for the knee hold until I went through the process of learning it.
Wow, talk about paying your pole dues lol. I also notice it’s a move that audiences seem to find especially impressive.
For comobs I like doing a knee hold to holly drop or a knee hold to superman fall.

Yay! Congrats 🙂 this is nice to hear. Knee holds have definitely been a nemesis move and sometimes I feel like it’s just never going to happen. Comforting to know there is still hope! I’ve seems some knee hold to figurehead transitions that are nice, particularly on spinning pole. The figurehead variation using the shoulder mount grip. Maybe knee hold to jasmine could be pretty…(living vicariously through your knee holds)

When I finally got my knee hold I was so excited. It is an impressive move! I did my knee hold for my instructor photoshoot & when ladies see that picture on our studio wall they always ask is it photoshopped. No! That’s all me & my pole!

Thank you all for your congrats!!!
This is something I really love about this community: Everyone is happy for others when they get a move 🙂

Well, knee hold was actually one of the moves that I really wanted to get, from the very beginning of my pole journey. In my very first video you can see me practise it (and fail, of course). I thought I would never get it, but there it is now. And as often, I don’t even know WHY it happened and why it doesn’t hurt anymore. Strange.

Cherished & Flighter, do you know of videos of these combos? I’m a visual learner, I need to see it, otherwise I can’t imagine it…

    Sure Here you go:
    Knee hold to hollydrop@4:05 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AF0iztm9ow
When you get secure in the h-drop you can go even faster to make it more dramatic but I forget which vids have the example.

Similar to what’s happening at 3:17, just do the knee hold instead of Cupid and you can go into figured head just be straightening that bottom leg behind the pole and grabbing the pole in the same way as in the video. I will try to find a better example that’s actually from a knee hold http://youtu.be/yCERVLaw70g

    Hey Tacha&Flighter
Here is the knee hold to figurehead at 2mins – I’m a super Karol fan and knew it was somewhere in this vid! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV8SlZBR5m4
