has anyone tried the diluting vodka idea yet? i cant deal w the smell of vinegar and wondering if the vodka mix worked well on a tg pole?
-
Yay! Glad it’s working so well with everyone!
Also update on titanium gold and vinegar… We tried it on my friend’s TG, and HOLY MEGA GRIP ALMIGHTY! Grip as if I had gorilla glue on the pole. Lol! Not sure about long term results but immediately, no color change or corrosion.
@Billababe220 – I am sooooo with you!!! Hahaha! Was about 1 step away from botox or iontophoresis. I swear by white distilled vinegar. Also recently got rid of iTac and am now using Tite Grip an hour before poling. Will look for Publix brand to compare with my American Choice brand

I don't have a problem with sweaty hands but I have a hard time keeping my hands from slipping, not that I'm doing anything dangerous so I got some I-tac worked great but it had a waxy coat left on my pole. I tried mighty grip and I like it too but since it is impossible for me to get a complete hand against the pole i'll figure out which works for me.I didn't feel like a towel or paper towel did a good job wiping down the pole
BUT having taken care of other people's babies and kids for 30 years it dawned on me instead of a towel or paper towels I would try cloth diapers. AWESOME.
I also used the green alcohol (mentholated )to wipe down the pole it worked great. I guess you could always stick the diaper/towel in a big ziplock bag if away from home.
I think I may have some clay left on my hands from sculpting and since it is polymer it is hard to get off so I might have to find a better way to remove it or wear gloves.
Vinegar is a super natural cleaner for lots of things.

Wow! Thanks for sharing!! I'd been using Mighty Grip and it only works for like 10 sec before I need to wipe my hands!
I'm going to try it this week!! Yipee!
-
@Mechie – Oh yeah, I used to be like that. Wipe 10 seconds later. Now I use white distilled vinegar on the pole and Tite Grip on my hands (1 hour before trick). Grip is phenomenal! Now I only wipe or reapply maybe 2-3 times in 2 hours.

I've been using acetone on my coated pole and stainless. Does anyone know if that is a bad idea? It seems to really clean the pole. I am going to try the vinegar too.

After a months i find white destilled vinegar in supermarket, here in spain it's most dificult to find.
Now i need to restart pole again… I'm a bit disconected from pole…
Hope start again soon, and post a vid.

Hi guys, I have a simple treatment for wet hands. I've been searching this for many years in my life. This is cheap, not expensive. And I think I am the one alone who use this because we always ignore this thing almost in our daily lives that we don't know we can use this as treatment for wet hands. I am from Phils. My job is an electrical and electronics instructor and finally my hands are completely dry all day and also my feet. But my back sweats more than before. But it's okay.
If you are interested, email me at dryinghard@gmail.com… Thank You.

Update on this: For the past couple months, I’ve been using Tite Grip II lavender with white distilled vinegar. The ultimate combination for super sweaty hands. I apply it 30-60 minutes before warmups for pole and it kicks in. Tite Grip II lasts so much longer, dries clear, lavender smell, less reapplying, no transfer, no sweaty hands, no slipping. Still swear by white distilled vinegar. After warmups, I rub the pole hard with the hand towel (sprayed with white distilled vinegar) to break down and remove previous grip aid and lotion transfer.

when i tried the distilled white vinegar on my pole (SS) – it was so slippery! i'm wondering if it's because of the stainless? alcohol works so much better for me. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I ordered some tite grip II lavender but when it arrived it was plain ole tite grip. Since I am in Australia I don’t know whether to bother with returning it and I don’t really want to fork out for more from the company in case the same thing happens. I am finding tite grip works ok on the stainless steel poles at the studio but not quite and was looking forward to trying the new formula and seeing if it was better. any suggestions for grip on stainless steel poles anyone?
-
the same thing happened to me when i ordered the tite grip II. except they did send the new formula, i just thought it was the old. how to tell – if the tube says "for hands and feet that sweat" then it is the new formula. note – it is still orange, just lighter orange. it does not say lavender, contain lavender, or smell like lavender. i know, strange.
i have basically given up on grip aids. i do like to rub some itac 2 on my body – inner thighs, back of knees, sides, and under arm – then leave whatever is left on my hands, and it does help. i clean my pole with alcohol. i live in a humid climate, and this is all that has worked for me. everything else seems to make things more slippery than normal.
