When life knocks you down, you find ways to get back up and start all over again right? Well I am curious to know what you all do to get your groove back. What inspires you to get back up on that pole?

For the last three months I have personally experienced some hardships that have kept me physically and emotionally off the pole. I’ve contemplated all the things I ever loved and hated about pole, and why I can’t bring myself to give up on it so easily.

So I guess my question to you is: What is the push behind your drive? And when it’s lost how do you find it again?

I recently had to take a break for a few months to. It was a little difficult getting right back in to the swing of things. I make a bucket list of all the pole things I would like to accomplish and use that for motivation. I will watch pole dancing videos and that inspires me because the pro’s didn’t get there overnight and it makes me go practice what i can do, and eventually you nail it! I strive to be just as good as them and good enough to compete, even though I don’t want to compete. It helps keep me motivated because i want it so bad. On off days where im not feeling it, i just do yoga type stuff, floorwork, gymnastics, stretching etc… you have to find something in it that is your driving force and it can change time to time like ” i am determined to nail the CAR or brass monkey etc..within a certain amount of time” and do them or whatever it is you want to work on until you master it 🙂 could be a floorwork piece or increase in flexibility or conditioning… Sometimes when you come back from a break from anything, the usual flow of things aren’t the same and it can almost seem overwhelming. Figure out your best plan of action, start small, focus on one thing first ( a move, fluidity, etc..) until its up to your par and then move to the next until you get back in the swing of things. My other driving force is being healthy and having a nice toned body. Pole and it’s relatives (aerial stuff) is the only thing that has hooked me in. I hated going to the gym and would follow a plan and switch it up but i never got results like I do now and it was soooooo boring. I think pole is the greatest thing ever!!! Those are some of my motivations. Oh and who doesn’t want to be able to rock the pole and be a sexy mamma 🙂 lol
