Have fun! And don’t get discouraged cuz it can be hard, but you will gain strength faster than you think!

Maybe don’t wear nylon leggings? I see other people wearing then so it could be just me but I could not grip the silks at ALL with leggings like that. Yoga pants are good but really shorts have been my fave. Maybe just cuz that’s what we get used to with pole 🙂

Actually, wear leggings that cover the backs of your knees and no tank tops! Less exposed skin is better. The silks will BURN if you’re sliding down on bare skin. Sometimes, they provide rosin or grip spray so you don’t slip. And yes, silks is hard but you will become so much better at pole. I did silks first and could invert right away 🙂

Ooh exciting! I starting doing silks about two months ago, after about 6 months on pole. One thing to note is that your hands are probably going to be incredibly sore. I always thought something was really wrong, and that I’d have to stop because my hands hurt so much. But it slowly gets better. Also, ice is your friend 🙂 Have fun!!

Hmm I wonder why silks don’t burn me..maybe I’m just not advanced enough for it to matter yet…I’m still at baby stages O_O the leggings I had issues with were nylon leggings. Specifically Black milk. I thought I couldn’t climb at all and then I rolled up my leggings and climbed right up to the top no problem. Yoga pants have worked excellently, but for whatever reason nylon stuff kills any grab on the silks. This is just my experience, and could be totally wrong. Just putting it out there. If someone would have suggested that was an issue in the beginning it would have been really helpful
