    Hey all,

So I’m going on a sort of holiday next week (looking after parents house/dogs in a very nice part of the country) which means I’m leaving my pole behind for a while! They have A LOT of floorspace so I was thinking of practicing floorwork. Does anyone have any advice for good tutorials for some floorwork moves? I find floorwork often more difficult than stuff on the pole! I get so confused by my legs XD

    Thank you x

HI you’ll find a bunch in the lessons here, they’re sprinkled through out the Beginner – advanced do to level of difficulty, I believe there are one or two in the Quick lessons too. If you’re looking for a routine try the sexy legs and ab routine. All of the move in there will help you strengthen and stretch for easier and more fluid floor work. You might want to check out the Chair lessons too if you have floor space, there are some fun routines for chair too!

Oh wow thank you! I just read your post about going to ballet classes – so wonderful! I’ve been wanting to try ballet or some other dance for aaaages! I’ve never had any dance training (I did jujitsu and karate when I was a kid instead) so I’m really…. Ungraceful and heavy! I also have no idea of how to hold my body or move when I’m off the pole. It’s really interesting to see how much it helped you. Thank you, can’t wait to devour the rest of your blog posts XD

Yeah there’s a place called Dance City near my work which has loads of different dance classes, for adults too! Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Belly dancing. I’ve been tempted to go to Ballet and Belly Dancing but I seem to have excuses not to each time I say I will. No more excuses I guess!

Marlo Fisken has some great tutorials on floor flow. They cost money, but well worth it in my opinion.
