    Hi everyone

I’ve done a search on the forum and couldn’t really find what I was looking for. I’m after some suggestions for flowy/lyrical ballad type pole music. I’ve found that this is the style I prefer for me which is awesome, now I just need more music!

Some songs I like in this style are

    Gravity- Sarah Bareilles
    All of Me- John Legend
    Say Something- Great Big World
The Power of Love- Gabrielle Aplin
    Mad World- Gary Jules

Thanks so much guys… Would really love to hear your suggestions!!

Check out nypolerina on youtube – Tracee Kafer based out of Body and Pole in NYC. She often posts videos from her Poleography class and that type of music is very much her style. Bet you’ll find some interesting ideas at least!

    Other suggestions:
In This Shirt by the Irrepressibles
Open by Rhye (other stuff by Rhye too!)
    Oblivion by Bastille
Love Will Tear Us Apart (cover) by Broken Social Scene
Us by Movement (this has a bit more of a beat to it, kind of sexier but I still think of it as fitting with a contemporary/lyrical dance style)

You might also like some stuff by Missy Higgins

    She’s Always A Woman – Billy Joel
The Blower’s Daughter – Damien Rice
    Cannonball – Damien Rice
    Hey you – Pink Floyd
And quite a few of Adele’s songs – I’m not a fan personally but her music can be good for pole, check out Dirdy Birdy’s stuff for inspiration.

Check out Aston on youtube as well… they do classical covers of current songs. Very pretty!
Bon Iver and James Vincent McMorrow might be up your alley too
