  • Found an interesting new antiperspirant hand lotion!

Startups are the hot thing right now at my university, so one new company started by recent alumni caught my eye when looking through my inbox last semester. They’re called Carpe Lotion, and their product seems to be sold on Amazon as an antiperspirant hand lotion.

I contacted one of the founders who was still around campus and managed to snag a free sample. I’ve been using Dry Hands up to now, but I’m tempted to make the switch since Carpe doesn’t leave the chalky residue on my pole, and the antiperspirant quality means I don’t have to keep reapplying since my hands sweat like crazy when I exercise. I also don’t get the blisters from overdried hands like I do when I use Dry Hands. Has anyone else had experience using antiperspirants on their hands for pole? I have tiny hands so the combination of size + sweat makes it killer for me to hang on sometimes. I thought I would post about this if anyone’s still looking for a good hand grip aid or wants to try an alternative.

That’s super cool! Yes, there are antiperspirants made for pole dance, the one that I can think of off hand is tite grip. 😊

Update: I tested this out again today with excellent results! The antiperspirant quality lasted well past my pole workout too, and as someone with sweaty hands naturally, I have no complaints about that! Would definitely recommend to any pole dancers with sweaty hands!

Veena – I might have to check out tite grip sometime too!

Do you have to wait for it to dry on your hands? With tite grip you have to wait about 30-45 minutes before you pole otherwise is doesn’t work as well. That part is annoying and it would be nice to not have to worry about that.

EtherealAnnie – Not at all! Thanks for telling me about that with Tite Grip; I wasn’t aware there was such a long dry down time! With Carpe I just rub it on my hands, and even though it’s a lotion-y consistency, I think it’s the menthol that dries it quickly so I’m ready to go in a couple minutes tops.

That’s awesome. I’ll give that lotion a try! I have been using tite grip gloves as a sub for having to use tite grip lotion because of the wait time. The gloves are great but having to wear gloves all the time really sucks. Thank you for sharing your find!
