I was wondering if anyone knew of a video of going into a forward showgirl to a reverse showgirl. I heard someone talking about it and have been dying to figure it out. I have tried some tries with it, but it just feels funky to me! I am a see and then can do it kinda girl!!

    Any help would be great!!

I find it easier to do on spinning than on static, just because of the amount of time it takes to turn around.  You don't have to move your hands any, just turn in the direction of the leg that's hooked around the pole.  It does take a fair bit of arm strength to hold yourself up while you turn, though.

Strength is easy for me… I'm a crossfit chick. Thats the one thing I have on my side. Cooridnation is a totally different thing, thats why I have to see it over and over and over!

Thanks… gonna work on it today!

Is that front knee hook to back knee hook?  You have to be able to get at least 1.5 full revolutions out of a standard front hook before evern trying.  IIRC the front hook is only a millisecond so you have to be able to get into position rapidly.  Quite honestly I have neevr seen this move done gracefully on a static pole.  There is always this awkward flailing of the legs when trying to unhook, get them cleared, get your body repositioned and then rehookoed before hitting the ground.

I believe it’s an attitude spin Chem.

I have been working on it on static. The hardest part is getting it rehooked. I will record and upload later! I just need to work on the flip-floppingness of it!

I think carousel to back hook (reverse showgirl) is a little easier if you want to start with that first to get the feel for it — same type of rotation, but 1) your feet aren't wrapped around the pole to start, so you don't have to worry about getting them off the pole and 2) your torso is facing the pole so you'll only have to rotate 90 degrees instead of 180 . You're going to be turning into the top arm (so if you are spinning right handed, you're rotating your body to the right). This is usually the combination spin I teach first with that rotation.

DirdyBirdy has a front hook back hook combo tutorial on YouTube!

Tacha666- thank you! I will have to check that out. This is what I got so far on my own on static.

You did great! Espacially for static pole! And it's exactly what Dirdy Birdy is doing in this video (just on spinny):

She also has a combo with stepping down which I think also looks very pretty:

Wish I would have seen that earlier! I spent some time and energy figuring the best way to do it. One reason why I dislike youtube, I searched that and it never popped up!
