Well I do something less complicated – I inline skate https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Any other form of cardio bores me to tears and I can’t run because of knee injuries. Last summer I just took out the skates and skated 3-4 miles every day, it’s so much fun! Guess it’s the speed and the change of scenery. You can skate together with friends too for more entertainment https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Skating slimmed me down radically and gave me a lovely bum and defined calves. If you live in a residential area with lots of smooth concrete it would defo be worth investing into a pair of decent inline skates. You can also use them instead of your car or your bike, I often skate over to my friends or to work https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I started a cardio kickboxing class yesterday and I’m having a blast!!
its a fun & challenging workout, we use boxing dummies at the studio, but you don’t even need that or boxing bags if you wanna do it at home you can just punch into pillows or something https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif you’ll just have to make sure you’re using proper technique for safety & injury prevention.
    just my 2 cents https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_compress.gif

I started stepping on my mini stepper during my favorite show. Okay so not "fun" persay but I tell myself the only way I can watch my shows are if I work out and stretch while I watch them. This has been pretty effective and I actually look forward to my stepper now!

I also hoop and I adore it. I like that I can pick up a hoop and just waiste hoop if I want to, and talk to my bf…I don;t have to go anywhere to do it, like up to the pole room, the studio, etc. It’s great for the summer too!

After reading about how some of you have found hooping to be a fun and effective workout, I decided to buy a hoop and try it. I bought the 43" brat hoop and the two beginner dvds off hoopnotica. I can wait for them to arrive! I’ll let you know how it goes. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I must agree with Veena on making your own hoop. I bought a travel hoop from Hoopnotica and it was useless after taking it apart and putting it back together 3 times. Pieces started to come loose and the hoop would wobble too much. I also bought a regular hoop from them and it was awesome for about a month. Now, it keeps coming apart at the connector. I mean, I’m just learning so I dropped both of the quite a bit, but still…I made my own and haven’t had any problems just yet.

Best site for making your own hoop is http://www.jasonunbound.com/hoops.html. The 160 psi 3/4" tubing is awesome and just like the Hoopnotica hoops, but hard to find. I ordered mine online from Lowe’s and then picked it up from the closest store. I got my tape from http://www.identi-tape.com/hooptape.html. It was annoying to tape the hoop at first, but then it starts to become really fun!

Hooping is awesome and I use it as a warm-up every time before I pole. Plus, I’ll always just come home and randomly pick it up just for a second and then end up hooping for at least 20 – 30 minutes. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif It’s the most motivating cardio I’ve found so far!
