Okay, never really had this problem before when going into Gemini. I am assuming its the new grip I have. Maybe my hands just slid down a little giving me more leg room in the past, but my calf gets caught on my hand now and its driving me nuts… I’m starting to bruise and I cant figure out how to quit wrapping my leg around my hand… Maybe I need to pull up farther? What gives?

i’m guessing maybe not enough core strength to keep hips above head? when you say new grip do you mean new hand placement or a grip aid? personally i don’t keep hands on for gemini. i would work on core strength and really focus on your leg grip when trying the move.

Well… I can pull myself up from my core. I dont kick myself up over my head. I am doing the invert and when I’m upside down and while I pull my leg up towards me and hook it over the pole to secure myself enough to let go my hand winds up stuck under my leg. It’s hard to explain. I fixed it sort of by lowering where I put my hands when I pull myself up. I think it was because I was holding the pole higher than I had room to invert. I need a nice 15 ft ceiling…. I wish I had more room.

Sounds like you have it figured out. The biggest issue with gemini is that you HAVE to get a good knee grip above your hands. When you are inverting think about hands about head height because like you said the higher the hands the higher you have to get up over them.

Glad you got it sorted https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
