I never thought about the torque being more important but I guess it makes sense that it would be.

EIther way…get the strongest. I mis-remembered the rpms it IS 18000 for the blue lights.

Just keep in mind when it comes to these…bigger is better!!

The NSD looks almost identical to the Dynaflex. However, my original looks way better:

Empy….I will never cease to be amazed at the things your husband finds to put an image of you on!

LOL….I get credit for this one!

If you order through them you can have customized bands made…the problem is the bands are expensive so unless I ordered a few hundred of them the cost was higher than retail cost for me…then add something on to sell them and it wasn’t worth it.

We ordered about 2 dozen in that batch so there are about 24 of them out there….it’s now a "collectors" item! LOL

If you look on youtube there are tons of videos (there may even be some on the powerball website). Basically you twirl your wrist…it is kind of hard to explain…but you will feel that gyroscope kick in. The faster it spins the more grip it takes for you to keep it in your hand. So not only are you using your forearm to keep the thing spinning, you are gripping to keep it from flying across the room. You can spin it clockwise or counterclockwise plus there are a bunch of other exercises you can do with it.

    Here are some videos

I am so glad I stumbled on this thread and ordered a Powerball off of eBay. I have only been using it for 3 days, but can already see a difference.

    1. At my silks class today, my forearms didn’t cramp up or wear out on me, which has been a huge issue for me the past few months.

    2. My nemesis, my super sketchy, ever-elusive split grip Aysha – happened today! Most days my grip won’t let me do the split grip one – if there is any moisture on my hands, forget it. My grip today felt really good – now I just have to work on the balance and making it pretty.

And it’s easy to do while watching a movie or lounging away – I never would have found this if it wasn’t for you lovely ladies. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I am lame. I bought one of the powerballs and can’t get the dang thing to go for more than a few seconds. Practice, practice, practice, I guess. L-A-M-E is me!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

I was the same way – you’ll get it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I got one a few weeks ago and it’s so much fun!

Journey is right, Polergirl – you’ll get it! I had to keep playing with it to figure it out – I can only start it using the string. It’s a test for my coordination…that’s for sure! lol
